MARS05 XL - Depowdering at a New scale
As metal additive manufacturing moves toward larger and heavier parts, post-processing has to keep up.
At Formnext, we will present MARS05 XL, our new automated depowdering solution developed for extra-large metal AM components. Designed to handle parts weighing up to 7,000 kg, it brings automated movement and controlled powder removal to a scale where manual handling is no longer a practical option.
Orbi - Depowdering Software
We will also present the latest version of Orbi, our software platform for creating, simulating and optimizing depowdering recipes.
The newest development introduces automated recipe generation, making it easier to move from a 3D part model to an optimized depowdering process. The goal is simple. Reduce manual programming, shorten setup time and make repeatable depowdering easier to achieve.

For the first time at Formnext, we will also have the MARS04 running live on our booth.
Designed for automated depowdering of large and complex metal AM parts, MARS04 uses programmable part movement and controlled powder removal to reach areas that can be difficult to clean manually.
The live demonstrations will give visitors the opportunity to see the depowdering example in action and talk with our team about their own parts, materials and post-processing challenges.
